It'd be rude not to get out during or after the first proper northerly blow of the 2022/23 winter cod season. So we head north to a Northumberland beach for a low water session as the sea begins to settle but retains lots of that all important colour.

The effort was rewarded with David landing six fish, four of them codling along with the ever obliging coley and a guest surprise eel! An excellent session to kick start the winter season!
