Khabib ''The Eagle'' Nurmagomedov vs Tony ''El Cucuy'' Ferguson and Jessica Andrade vs Rose Namajunas Promo

The fight we all have been waiting for is finally here. The lightweight champion Khabib The Eagle Nurmagomedov versus former interim lightweight champion Tony El Cucuy Ferguson is your main event for UFC 249 on April 18 in Brooklyn, NY.

Dana White and the UFC have tried to make this fight four different times over the last five years but due to injuries and unfortunate events, the fight has never come to fruition. The fight has been labeled cursed by many, but there is a strong belief amongst the fans that the fight will finally happen.

Not only will UFC 249 give us the highly anticipated fight between Khabib and Ferguson. This card will also give us the rematch between the two former strawweight champions Jessica Andrade and Rose Namajunas. Rose Namajunas took the belt from Joanna Jedrzejczykat UFC 217 and successfully defended the title in their rematch at UFC 223. (This was the same night Khabib became the undisputed lightweight champion, beating Tony Ferguson’s replacement, Al Iaquinta).
Rose Namajunas then lost her belt to a hungry challenger in Jessica Andrade at UFC 237. Andrade then went on to lose her belt to Weili Zhang at Fight Night 157 in China. Both Andrade and Namajunas are eager to fight their way back to the top.
