Starting a new series, I'm aiming to create a kick Maxforlive device, showing and explaining what I do and how I do it as I go.
At each step (each part of this series), you'll be able to comment the video, asking questions about stuff unclear to you and provide feedback and suggestions.
On top of that, my Patreon supporters will get each intermediate version, up to the point where (I hope) the device will be ready for release, hence they'll get it for free !
I really hope that you'll like this approach and will get knowledge from it !
This is part 1, covering:
00:00 Introduction & project goal
02:30 Project setup
06:30 Rough specification
10:50 MaxMSP basics: data flow, objects, messages, cold/hot inlets, triggers & bangs
20:45 Initial blocks: sound source
24:10 Pitch envelope
34:50 Amp envelope
42:35 Switching from messages based control to signal based control
45:05 Replacing Amp envelope with function
