This EPIC island guide covers all the coolest things to do on Koh Rong Samloem Island Cambodia. We originally planned to visit the island for three days, but ended up staying nearly three MONTHS. That means we’ve had a chance to explore ALL the top spots (as well as some of the lesser known areas of the island) and got to know the island on a much deeper level than most who just visit for a few days.

In this guide, we compare all the top Koh Rong Samloem beaches and hikes as well as some secret spots.

Before arriving here, we did a bunch of research trying to figure out which of the Cambodian islands we wanted to visit…

Half the posts/videos we saw said it was heaven on earth (only showing the “best angles” of the island), the other half said it was a trash pit. We almost decided to skip the island altogether due to some of the reviews we read. I’m sure glad we didn’t though.

While it’s not perfect, Koh Rong Samloem (also spelled Koh Rong Sanloem) is a place you won’t want to miss during your Cambodia travel adventures. SO MUCH OF THE INFO ONLINE IS OUTDATED. From electricity, to wifi, to transport, to accommodation….the island transforms every year.
