(27 Jul 1950) After his early morning flight from Switzerland, Leopold III, King of the Belgians, landed at Evere Airport after six years in exile. His return, however, could not have been described as a royal homecoming, nevertheless, there was a crowd of Royalists near the Palace to give their King a welcome. Ex-Premier Paul Spaak, on the contrary together with other Socialist Ministers, promptly resigned.
