Only about 25% of the 1500 respondents on our nhsppe.com reported they have access to gowns. PPE is what all healthcare workers rely on to keep themselves and their families safe.
There is a great deal of concern amongst frontline healthcare workers.
Dr Jenny Vaughan, our Law and Policy lead, spoke to Sky news yesterday evening.

Transcript from interview:
"We have heard from 1500 doctors who already signed on [to nhsppe.com]. If you look at that, only about 25% of the respondents are reporting that they actually have access to gowns. We have also heard that across London, if they don’t get supplies in over the weekend, they certainly are concerned that they are not going to have what they need for Monday. And people are being asked to reuse them.
This personal protective equipment is what all healthcare workers rely on to keep themselves and their families safe, so there is incredible anxiety out there about what this means for them. There are also concerns about the resilience of the supply lines that they’ve got in this situation.
We absolutely understand that this has been an Herculean task for the government to try and actually get PPE to the frontlines, but we have been in this situation where it has got worse and worse and worse, having been originally getting better when the army were involved; we have now reached this position. And there is a great deal of concern amongst frontline healthcare workers this evening."
