A clearance (old stock) product, a Windows 95/98 plug and play solution that may still be on sale, highly useful to transfer and access files on very old laptops, especially vintage 486 and Pentium 1 models without USB support.
The adapter is easy to use and can support even very large drives (16GB!) otherwise not compatible with most laptops. Around 800kB/s maximum read or write transfer speed. I also show a way of transferring files on a modern PC/laptop by using an IDE 44 pin to Compact Flash adapter, plugged into an USB IDE 44 pin adapter.
