Many people out there think that CrossFit is just a random collection of exercises thrown together without a plan. In this video, I react to a clip from Mark Rippetoe and his Starting strength podcast where he explains his reasoning for saying that CrossFit is not actual training.
The other iron sports, weightlifting, powerlifting, and bodybuilding tend to bash CrossFit because we share exercises and theories from their disciplines.
Although CrossFit is by definition constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movement...that does not mean it's random. Similar to the westside barbell conjugate system there is intentional variance in the program but there is a structure and a why behind what is programmed.
