Over 81,000 job aspirants who appeared in the exams held by the Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) for selection in 5,000 Group C and Group D posts are staring at a bleak future as the exam results are yet to be published, over a year after the exam. On Friday, a group of aspirants went to the JRBT office in Dhaleswar area of Agartala to meet the officials of the board. However, they were not allowed to meet anyone, following which the job aspirants staged a sit-in demonstration at the premises to demand an immediate announcement of the results.
Police later reached the spot and asked them to vacate the area. After facing resistance from the protestors, security personnel resorted to force to move the protesters out of the office.
Job aspirants who appeared for the JRBT-conducted exams have been protesting time and again to demand the release of the results while officials have not given a reason for this delay. The exams were held in July 2021, through JRBT under the aegis of the Directorate of Employment Services and Manpower Planning.
