Intelligence officials say a US drone strike has killed at least nine members of the Pakistani Taliban in Afghanistan. The strike came as part of an intensifying campaign against Pakistani militants in the area, with fighter jets pounding positions in the Tirah Valley in the Khyber region. Scores of militants are said to have been killed in the campaign, with seven soldiers also killed. No one tracks drone strikes in Afghanistan, though Taliban commanders say fighters in the country have been increasingly targeted since late last year.
