Edible cutlery is a solution to the menace of plastic disposables that has invaded our food. While being almost as cheap as plastic, these products negate all disadvantages of plastic cutlery. The cutlery contains no toxins and carcinogens, is biodegradable, and rich in nutrition value. Edible cutlery degenerates within less than a week. Edible cutlery, being made with flours of cereals, can be added with tastes – ginger-garlic, cinnamon-ginger, salt-pepper, sweet with vanilla flavour and so on, thus making it more fun to use and enhance dining experience. Narayana Peesapaty is the Founder and Managing Director of Bakeys Foods. Peesapaty studied Biochemistry and Forest Management in Bhopal-India, and worked as a researcher in the field of rural development. Later he joined the International Water Management Institute in Hyderabad as Senior Researcher.
