Housing Minister Soita Shitanda has reiterated that the Government would go ahead with its plan to relocate slum dwellers in Kibera to the neighbouring Langata despite attempts by some landlords in the slums to block the move. The landlords have already gone to court to block the relocation unless they are compensated for loss of income and the Court is expected to rule on the matter later this month.
