During the late 1940s and early 1950s, Little Miss Toni Harper recorded for Columbia Records - including in 1949 'Miss Inbetween Blues". Still not quite a teenager, she possessed an extraordinarily mature voice - as can be heard in this rare film clip. In adult life she became a respected jazz singer, with albums of Verve and RCA.
