Well of course it does, silly! This idiom means that time seems to go by more slowly when we are impatient. Time will seem to pass much more quickly if we keep ourselves otherwise occupied while we wait. That being said, come watch and literally wait for water to boil with me while I water test my nifty new Topwit Electric Tea Kettle! 😊 (It does have an infuser basket, but you have to run it first before you can actually make tea.)
