Bali is famous for its temples. Every household has their own temple and shrine area.
Today, i visit Gunung Kawi - an incredible temple that is off the beaten track and much less touristy and crowded than Tanah Lot or Uluwatu. It's about an hour north of Ubud and is surrounded by rice terraces as well so if you're down to kill 2 birds with one stone, this is the place. Monstrous in size, I spent 2 hours there and could have easily spent more.
