I've been looking for a replacement lens on my main recording setup that uses a Sony Alpha A6000 with the Sony E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS kit lens. Something newer with a quiet focus motor and low focus breathing was the goal besides having a large fixed maximum aperture through out the zoom range, so that I could use completely manual exposure settings. The Sigma 18-50mm F/2.8 DC DN Contemporary lens felt like a great option. Let's find out!

EDIT: I used the online YouTube Studio editor to clip out a mistake where I said the kit lens focal length range wrong. Not sure how I missed that detail tens of times while editing the video!
