From Fall 1996 on the now defunct SportsChannel Chicago, the local program, The Sportswriters on TV, celebrated their 500th episode. Featuring the late, great journalists Bill Gleason, Bill Jauss Joe Mooshil, the late moderator Ben Bentley as well as living journalists (as of today) Rick Telander and Lester Munson. Hosted by the late talk show host, Chet Coppock.
