The Cassini-Huygens mission was one ambitious Saturn exploration mission launched by NASA. At the end of mission on September 15, 2017, the Cassini space probe was deliberately disposed of by plunging into Saturn's atmosphere. Why must scientists do that? The main reason is that Cassini's fuel reserves were going to run out very soon. After that, scientists would no longer be able to control the spacecraft's moving path or trajectory. It would be a disaster if the uncontrolled Cassini crashed into one of Saturn's moons such as Enceladus and Titan. This is because Cassini may carry microbes from Earth, and the possible life evolving on those moons would be impacted significantly. So, the safest place for Cassini was on Saturn itself, and it would be totally destroyed by Saturn's atmosphere when Plunging Into it. The Grand Finale happened on September 15th, 2017, and Cassini ultimately became a part of the planet itself!
