In 2016, 146, along with 610, 90 and 2275 Sqns, won sections of the band competition at Merseyside Wing Field Training Day. This means bands from these Sqns were put forward to represent Merseyside Wing at Regional level, against other bands in the Wales and West area.
The band portion is split into several sections, which 146 represented in Full Band, Percussion and Solo Drummer.
Merseyside Wing came 2nd in the Music competition overall.
146 Sqn came 2nd in Percussion and joint 3rd in Full Band.
