Dwain Chambers, the 2010 world indoor 60m champion, is now aged 45 and tested his speed against athletes half his age at the UK Indoor Champs in Birmingham.
He reached the semi-finals too and here offers his advice to older athletes who might be thinking of quitting the sport prematurely.
The British sprinter says his body is holding up well at his age and he has no major ongoing niggles but the biggest area he works on is his mental game and trying to maintain his motivation when he can't win races like he used to. He also pays more attention to his diet these days.
