Azores Islands Guide Episode 9 - Getting lost on the way to the beach in fields covered in flowers and lush greenery. The rock-surrounded road was disappearing in the clouds. We had a drive from Fazenda Das Lajes to view a spot called Rocha dos Frades. On the way back, we visited the church Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Carmo. Nothing went as planned today, but it was the most magical experience.
Today, we set out on an adventure to the Azores Islands, seeking the ultimate paradise. Little did we know, this journey would take us down unexpected paths.
As we drove from Fazenda Das Lajes to Rocha dos Frades, we found ourselves surrounded by fields covered in blooming flowers and vibrant greenery. The road carved through the rocks seemed to disappear into the clouds, leaving us in awe of nature's beauty.
Though we had intended to reach a viewpoint, fate had a different plan for us. Sometimes, the most enchanting experiences come from getting lost along the way.
In search of direction, we stumbled upon Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Carmo, a quaint church that seemed to emerge whimsically from the mist. Its ancient walls whispered tales of the island's history, adding an unexpected dimension to our adventure.
Today may not have gone as planned, but it unfolded into a magical experience we will forever cherish. The Azores Islands have a way of captivating your heart, captivating your soul. Lost in paradise, we discovered the true essence of these enchanting islands.
