For some reason, I only discovered this movie a few months ago even though I thought I already knew most Ghibli animations. Little did I know that I had missed one of the best! The beautiful hand-drawn animation, the touching tale, and the amazing soundtrack...
My favourite songs are definitely both versions of The Procession of Celestial Beings with their cheerful tone and unusual chants and yells. They are very layered tracks with lots of different parts and voices, I tried my best to make it work on the limited range of a single music box, so it is a mix of both versions. I hope you'll like it! And if you haven't already watch the movie, you definitely should.
