This is the second of three films charting the creation of a bust of Charles Bradlaugh MP (1833-91) for the Parliamentary Art Collection. It focuses on the process of casting the bust at a bronze foundry.
Unveiled in 2016 and sculpted by Suzie Zamit, the bronze bust was commissioned by the Speaker’s Advisory Committee on Works of Art. It was donated to the House of Commons by the National Secular Society, which Bradlaugh founded 150 years earlier in 1866.
The bust is now on public display in the Palace of Westminster.
