Patternmaking Software or Adobe Illustrator? It's a personal choice that depends on your needs. This video is my personal opinion based on my needs & is only meant to aid you in your own research.

In this video I discuss 3 ways patternmaking software is better than Illustrator, which is also the 3 reasons I chose my patternmaking software over Ilustrator.

If you're unfamiliar with Illustrator, it is a graphic design software used to create drawings/sketches, designs & layouts on the computer. It can also be used for patternmaking but was not created specifically for patternmaking.

This video IS NOT to bash Illustrator, but instead to show you the advantages of a patternmaking software versus a software not specifically designed for the purpose of patternmaking.

And not just any patternmaking software will do. You need pattmaking software that will allow you to make patterns in the computer just as you would on the table with pencil & paper.
