In this clip I shot with a borrowed camera (apologies for shaky camera work) around 18.30 aboard the Rutland Belle sunset cruise on Wednesday, a pair of Ospreys danced overhead. It all happened within a few seconds, they move very fast. This clip has been slowed down to 40x slo-mo so their dancing moements can better be appreciated. I can whole-heartedly recommend the cruise ([ Ссылка ]), it's not only very enjoyable but the enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers from Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust make sure you don't miss any sightings, and when an Osprey or other bird of note is seen - there are many - the captain slows the boat down so you don't miss a moment of the action.
Celebrity Rutland Ospreys Maya and Blue 33 raised two chicks this year - 095 fledged 2nd July 2021 [ Ссылка ]); and 096 fledged 1st July 2021 ([ Ссылка ]...)
Footage usually copyright LRWT Rutland Osprey Project, with many thanks for allowing me to clip bits from their nest cam livestream, but today I shot my own inexpert footage in person at the reserve so I suppose it's my copyright. Watch the Live nestcam here: [ Ссылка ]
From their website: Get a front row view of our Manton Bay osprey nest at Rutland Water Nature Reserve, where our star pair Maya and 33 have nested together since 2015.
Thanks to generous donations to our Osprey Webcam Appeal last year, we have now installed brand new camera equipment. Our new webcams give a better view and can zoom, pan, and tilt! Not only this, but we have made sure the new system incorporates sound, giving you a fuller experience and deeper insight into the behaviour of breeding ospreys! So make sure you turn the sound up!
