Finally, wireless #AndroidAuto and CarPlay adapter that works! With #CarlinKit 4.0 you can convert you system from wired to #wireless and connect iPhone or Android phone without USB cable. As usual, I've tested this device in my VW Golf MK7 (2015/16 with MIB2 Discover Media system that's CarPlay enabled) for couple weeks and now I'm ready to share my findings, pros, cons, and interesting features. Device requires your vehicle to be CarPlay ready. This means thatou need to be able to use CarPlay when connecting an iPhone over the USB cable. Only then you can use CarlinKit 4.0 wired-to-wireless adapter. So, I've checked supported input methods, wireless connection range, some advanced settings, performed firmware upgrades and downgrades. And here are the results.

Latest firmware is not as stable as the old one.
Can't fast-forward songs with steering wheel buttons.
Blueish color of the device does not match cars interior trim.
USB-C port is deep which might cause problems with 3rd party cables.

ℹ️ Notice, device is using CarPlay protocol to connect with vehicle. Your vehicle needs to be CarPlay enabled, even if you are going to use it with an Android phone.
