Marines and Sailors from Weapons Company, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, conducted drills July 21-22 at Camp Lejeune, N.C.
The servicemen were divided into two 4-man teams, consisting of a team leader, an assistant team leader, an M249 automatic rifleman and a rifleman. The teams ran hide-breakout and immediate action drills against long range targets.
The drills were repeated multiple times to ensure each team member understood their roles in the event of a combat situation.
