With the blessing of the Roosevelt family, The American Bar Association's Center for Human Rights established the annual Eleanor Roosevelt Prize for Global Human Rights Advancement in 2018. The award aims to recognize persons and organizations having a positive, enduring, and global impact in advancing the principles set forth in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which Eleanor Roosevelt championed.

In 2020 the organization is honoring Dr. Anthony Fauci, Billie Jean King, and Nasrin Sotoudeh (the subject of this virtual program).
