This is a walking tour of Clarkdale Arizona.
In this video we will be visiting the Verde Canyon Railroad, Clarkdale Historic District and The Verde River.
Today we start our adventure at the Verde Canyon Railroad station located at 300 N Broadway, Clarkdale, AZ 86324. This is a heritage railroad running between Clark dale and Perkinsville in the state of Arizona. This video will only show the train station and area. The excursion takes passengers deep into Arizona’s backcountry only accessible from the comfort of this classic train. This ride will take you through sculpted and colorful landscapes with views of a red-rock canyons and so much more. Next onto Clarkdale Historic District. It was founded in 1912 as a modern copper-smelting company town for the employees of the mines in Jerome and their families. This town is one of the first master-planned communities in Arizona. It was built to provide housing and amenities for employees of the copper mines in Jerome. And last, we will visit part of the Verde River. The Verde River is one of Arizona's only federally designated Wild and Scenic Rivers. It is open for recreational activities including kayaking, canoeing, rafting and fishing.
