Self massage and release the lateral pterygoid muscle for decreased pain and increased jaw range of motion! Do NOT do this more than once per day and in the rare few, this can actually cause a pain flare. So approach with caution - try it with a little pressure first. Then monitor. If you don't have a flare up with pain, then the next time you do it, use a little more pressure. And so on and so forth.
