We are very happy with the power this blender provides when compared to our last two ‘entry-level’ models. The motor on this is at least twice as powerful as the others when blending frozen fruit into a smoothie. The extra blades really get the job done! I appreciate the programmable functions built into the unit as well, the smoothie setting is 2 minutes long with multiple speed changes during the run. A couple reviews mentioned problems screwing the lid onto the smaller blender cup, it uses a reverse thread pattern-left to tighten and right to loosen, which helps keep the base and cup tightly during blending.
