This is an ancient melody from Celtic Brittany in north-western France. The tune I selected from a publication entitled Tonioù Breizh-Izel (Traditional Tunes from Lower Brittany), which contains over 3,000 tunes collected by Polig Monjarret.

Monjarret collected many ancient Bretton tunes in his lifetime. He died December 2003 and I am eternally greatful for the wealth of beautiful music he has left for us.
