We need multidisciplinary research to solve complex problems like inequality and climate change. But when researchers from different disciplines join forces they face obstacles due to different methods and views. How can they overcome these obstacles when trying to solve wicked problems? Find out in ‘The NEMO Project’! in which we followed a group of researchers over the course of eight months. Will the results weigh out their differences?
A group of scientists from four different disciplines; Psychology, mathematical psychology, communication sciences and computational sciences, are working together to solve broader scientific questions. They not only try to make a pedestrian model but also measure whether message types have effects on children’s sustainable choices.
The main researchers speaking in this documentary are: Tessa Blanken, Andrew Heathcote, Marijn Meijers, Robert Belleman & Denny Borsboom
This documentary was a collaboration between the Faculty of Social & Behavioural Sciences and the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS). The NEMO experiment was financially supported by the POLDER Project of IAS.
