Ruchi Bhatia, ET Now: Centre today unveiled yet another bazooka to revive the economy just ahead of the festive season. ET Now reporter yesterday that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will announce a fresh economic stimulus.
The third round of stimulus worth 2.65 lakh focussed on Job creation, infrastructure sector, housing & real estate, stressed sectors, and agriculture.
Here are the 12 areas which the government focussed on:
— Atmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana being launched to incentivize the creation of new employment opportunity from Oct 1
— Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme extended for stressed sectors
—Rs 18000 Cr Additional Outlay for PM Awaas Yojana- Urban
— Income Tax relief of up to 20% shall be allowed for buyers under Sec 56(2)(x) of IT Act for homebuyers and developers
— PLI scheme for 10 sectors aimed at making India a manufacturing hub
— Rs 65,000 Cr being provided for adequate availability of fertilizers
— Rs 6000 cr worth of equity Support for NIIF debt platform
— Additional outlay of 10,000 cr under PM Garib Kalyan Rozgar Yojana
— Rs 10,200 Cr additional budget outlay for capital and industrial expenditure in domestic defence equipment, industrial incentives, industrial infrastructure, green energy
— Rs 3000 cr for Exim Bank to push exports
— 900 CR for R& D of COVID Vaccine Development
