Northern Albania and Montenegro are cycling gems located in the Balkan region of Europe. This is an amazing region of rugged mountain peaks, beautiful forests, deep river gorges and the picturesque Adriatic Sea.
Quiet roads took us through numerous small villages as we made our way to Cetinje, the historical Old Royal Capital. Along the way we rode through Durmitor National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the alpine forest in Lovcen National Park. We visited the breathtaking Ostrog Monastery, an impressive structure built into a sheer cliff, and finish our ride with a breathtaking descent to the medieval sea port of Kotor.
