In this PIPS3 video, Dr Alessio Scalisi, Senior Technology Officer with Agriculture Victoria, shows how the team at Tatura SmartFarm uses smartphone technology to manage orchard data. The IDT Data Logger app can be used in a number of ways to record or scan data – such as when measuring trunk diameters or counting buds – in conjunction with near-field communication tags.
