This eUROGEN webinar was presented on 10th March 2020 by Magdalena Fossum, Professor of Paediatric Surgery at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen in Denmark. Within eUROGEN, Prof. Fossum is the research lead for the workstream dealing with rare congenital uro-recto-genital anomalies, as well as being the disease-area coordinator for posterior hypospadias.
The webinar will include an update on incidence, aetiology and long-term follow-up reports. Important surgical considerations and techniques that are appropriate when dealing with proximal hypospadias will be presented. Suggestions for future collaborations for prospective data collection, aiming at improving function and patient reported outcome, will be discussed.
