Catching big, wild bass in rivers on surface or topwater lures is one of the most exciting forms of fishing available in south eastern Australia, and it's a firm favourite of Steve 'Starlo' Starlings! Join him for his first bass outing of a new season, and watch the amazing action unfold — while also learning plenty of tricks to improve YOUR results!
GEAR USED: Starlo used two baitcaster outfits in this episode. The first was a Shimano Metanium HG baitcaster reel spooled with 15 pound Kairiki braid and mounted on a Shimano T-Curve 661 Baitcast Extra Light rod. The second was a Shimano SLX XT baitcaster reel spooled with 20 pound Kairiki braid on a T-Curve Premium 681 Baitcast rod. He used 16 and 20 pound Ocea FC leaders, a 1/4 ounce Hell Yeah bladed jig, and a River2Sea Whopper Plopper 90 surface lure. These deadly topwater lures can be a bit hard to track down in Australia, but we found some on line at Amazon Australia via this link: [ Ссылка ]
