The jewel of the Silk Road: Samarkand was once the largest and most influential city in Central Asia. Right at the heart of the exchange of valuable goods and ideas, it has left its mark on history. It grandeur still stands. Intricately designed mosques and Islamic schools along with mausoleums line these ancient streets, with towering blue domes and tiled archways.
