Speaker 1: Today I have a 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan. We're gonna be test-fitting the Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number TC1042.These chains have rollers on them that go around the cables here to form cross chains. Now what these are gonna do is provide really good traction in light snow situations, so that's where you really have to use this. This is gonna be more of an occasional use tire chain for you,Now they do have a low profile to them and a ladder pattern design, as well, which is gonna help out with effective starts and stops, and the low profile design is gonna provide a much smoother ride while you're driving in a light snow situation.These are low carbon steel chains, which makes them very strong and durable. They do come in a quantity of two, and these are also considered SAE Class S chains because they work well in vehicles with limited wheel well clearance like our Dodge Grand Caravan here.The max speed rating for these chains is gonna be 30 miles an hour, and once you're finished using it and they're dried off, it does come with a convenient carrying case, so you can place both chains back in there, put them in the back of the van, and they're ready for next time.Today we're working with tire size 225/65R17. Now we went ahead and laid the chains out in front of the tire like you see here to make sure everything's straight and that there's no kinks in the lines or anything like that.

And we do recommend that you wear gloves while you install these.So, we'll take our chain, we'll drape it over our tire like so, keep it as even as we can, and then we'll go to the inside of the tire and make our first connection.So, we'll take the end with our catches, put through as many as we can like so. It's gonna be the same procedure for the front. Put our catches through and set them in place. Now you see there's still a little bit of give with the chain, and that's where our tensioner comes into play. Now this is sold separately, but it is recommended that you use this.

What you do is you go around, placing the hooks like so, and so the tension is taken up.Now what I recommend now is driving a brief distance, making sure the tension's working properly, and then you're good to go.And there you have it for the Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number TC1042 on our 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan.
