*Valsgärde* is a burial site from the Swedish Vendel Age (part of the Iron Age, c. 550–793, and the Viking Age, i.e. after AD 800). The site was used for more than 300 years at a burial ground and is famous for its ship burials. It is often copared to 'Sutton Hoo' in England. The first ship burial at Valsgärde is from the 6th century and the last graves are from the 11th century. Burials have been found to contain ships/boats, anlimals (horses, pigs, dogs, owls, etc), weapons, armor, shields, helmets, as well as gaming pieces and combs....
