The rules are very loose and can be adjusted as you see fit.
1) On day 1, populate any of your lock's chambers with a standard pin and pick it. On days 2 though 6, add another standard pin to your lock each day and pick it. By day 6 all chambers in your lock will be populated.
2) On day 7, substitute one of the standard pins with a spooled pin and pick it. On days 8 through 12, swap out another standard pin with a spool and pick it. By day 12, all the chambers should be spools.
3) On day 13, substitute one of the spool pins with a serrated pin and pick it. On days 14 through 18, swap out another spool pin with a serrated and pick it. On day 17, have a drink while picking your lock (apple juice for those underaged, of coarse), you deserve it. By day 18, all the chambers should be serrated.
4) On days 19 through the end of March, randomize all 6 chambers with standards, spools and serrated for a new challenge lock each day.
All of these rules are suggestions. If you have a 5 pin lock or a 7 pin lock, adjusting the days are allowed. If you want to through some mushroom pins, t-pins, spoolated pins, etc... in to the mix, by all means do it.
The only rule that NEEDS to be followed is this: PICK AT LEAST ONE LOCK A DAY.
