Israel’s military has some of the most advanced air defense systems in the world, which includes the Iron Dome, David’s Sling and Arrow systems. In the aftermath of Iran launching roughly 180 ballistic missiles at Israel at the beginning of October, the U.S. says its stepping in to help bolster Israel’s defenses with a Thaad system and troops to operate it.
