STORYLINE:
The mother of a recently executed Cuban hijacker says she no longer wishes to remain in Cuba and would like the US Government to help her relocate to the United States.
Ramona Copello Castillo, mother of Lorenzo Copello, one of three men executed in Havana last April for the attempted hijacking of a ferryboat, says she no longer trusts the Castro regime and needs to go stateside in order to "remain alive".
During an interview at her home, Copello Castillo showed reporters her son's sentencing papers and death certificate.
"I was told these papers had to go and come back from the Council of State. That was a Thursday afternoon. By Friday morning the boys were dead", Copello said.
The death certificate does not specify a cause of death, it only says that death occurred in a military unit.
