In support of the ongoing mission for Fuel Debris Retrieval, Veolia Nuclear Solutions has developed several innovative technologies and approaches for investigating, sampling, and removing damaged fuel from the unit 2 reactor core. This long-term mission entails the rigorous development of bespoke solutions for both Top and Side access operations within the damaged reactor. Veolia Nuclear Solutions, along with its partners, continue to develop these methods for future deployment and operations.
