This was a Scuba Dive I made at Shaw's Cove in Laguna Beach California while visiting my Mother who lives in Coto de Caza. Thanks to Hobie Ladd, a Facebook Friend, who pointed me to the local dive shop "Beach Cities Scuba" located in Dana Point. They referred me to their shop in Laguna Beach and recommended this beach dive which was located very close to the shop. I was able to rent a tank and weights and go right down the street to the dive spot. I wanted to test my weights as I was not used to diving with the wetsuit I borrowed from my son Luke. It was a 7 mil hooded suit with Farmer John pants. It's a good thing I did, cause I only brought 16 pounds on this dive and I was grossly under weighted. I spent most of the dive clinging and pulling myself down on the rocks. Two days later I went to Catalina Island and took 25 pounds instead which turned out much more manageable. This was a very nice dive with lots of fish and one crevice in the rocks which was holding an abundance of Lobsters. I also came across a memorial for Lukas Swidzinski (4-4-1978 - 3-13-2019). I thought maybe he passed away here diving but an Internet search revealed an obscure article that he was a student pilot on the runway when another plane landed on top of him killing him. The dive showed a multitude of fish and sea life and is highly recommended.
