One of the most iconic pasta shapes is none other than spaghetti and we just so happen to have a vegan pesto recipe for you enjoy! 🍝
Ingredients (serves 4):
320g Barilla® Gluten-free Spaghetti No. 5
30g basil leaves
20g walnuts
1 clove garlic
150ml extra-virgin olive oil
20 g nutritional yeast
40 g Vegetal cream
salt and pepper to taste
Method:
1. To prepare the vegan pesto add the basil, salt to taste, garlic, yeast, walnut and olive oil into a blender and blend until smooth.
2. Transfer the pesto into a bowl and combine with the vegetal cream.
3. Cook the pasta in lightly salted boiling water and drain when al dente, set aside some cooking water.
4. Dress with the pesto and, if it seems too thick, dilute it with a ladle of pasta cooking water and serve.
Serve up and enjoy!
