Enkidu is sent by the gods so that Gilgamesh can fall in love, be broken by love, and in his brokenness, embark on the quest for wisdom.
If one experiences real moments of inspiration where something descends and makes the “meat” into “spirit,” there will come a point where they will refuse to live any longer as mere “meat.” They will come to a place where everything they do, must be driven by love—or they will refuse to engage.
