After many years my old cobra hand held FRS radios died. It was my fault. I left the batteries in them when I last used them and one leaked. With the damage done, I set out to find a decent set of modern replacements to use here on the farm.
I ended up with these two Retevis RT 45's that I got off of Amazon here:

After using them a few times I can say that they preform almost exactly the same as the old cobra set, but do have some neat modern features that could come in handy if someone wanted to use them in a more populated area, or needed to have more private communications.
I liked the fact that they came fully equipped. No need to buy a separate charger or batteries, as everything was included.
