Kota Kinabalu is the capital city of the Malaysian state of Sabah, located on Borneo's northwest coast. It's known for its stunning sunsets, the prominent Mount Kinabalu, and vibrant markets like Gaya Street Sunday Market. But you won't see the Mount Kinabalu, the Orangutans or the famous Mabul Island here because the Land Below the Wind, Sabah is the second largest state in Malaysia so we need a super extra time to explore the whole Tropical Island but don't worry in future we'll try to discover the rest of the top destinations and places to visit in Sabah.

If you're planning to Kota Kinabalu for the first time, other than shopping you can travelling around Kota Kinabalu to discover an old heritage building or iconic Tower in Sabah, eating at a seafood hawker, visiting the Kota Kinabalu Central Market, watching the sunset at KK Waterfront or at the beaches and many more. The best part most of the popular destinations in Kota Kinabalu is accessible, easy to find the car parking and most importantly free to enter because some of the place is a public area for both local and tourists to visit.
